Pros: Very Protective. Feels nice. Looks good. Does not reduce 3G signal.
Cons: No grip. Hard to put on. Sometimes it traps dust.
Have you ever wanted to have a super cool clear hard iPad case? Most companies donít make this because it doesnít sound very stylish or unique. But NewerTech decided to buck the trend and make one for the new iPad. It turns out it was a great idea, and other companies are missing out from potential customers.
The case itself is transparent and covers all of the sides except for the bottom and top (and the volume keys). This means for the rest of the case, there is plastic all around it.
The NuGuard Clear is invisible. You can hardly see the clear plastic at all from a few feet away. Because the entire case is clear you can see right through to the beautiful aluminum back. If you bought this case immediately, youíre lucky because you wonít be able to see any scratches.
Over about three weeks of testing with this case, we have only found two problems. Firstly, itís a little slippery. The first time I used it, the case and my iPad fell straight through my hands. Luckily it landed on my lap. The other problem is that the case is hard to put on. This is because the NuGuard Clear is a bit small. However after we got it on the first time the problem seemed to disappear.
The NuGuard Clear comes at a very reasonable price of $24.99, which is much cheaper then any other hard case for the iPad. Overall the NuGuard Clear deserves 3.5 stars out of 5.
